How would you like to be introduced on stage?

I would like to introduce to you Regan Whitesell, a student at Indiana University studying Law and Public Policy. Her main passion, as you will see through her presentation, is building a sustainable future. Regan is working on this through advocating for new, and effective, climate policies and teaching others about the impact our current policies have and how we can decrease these impacts as individuals. Her endless determination and positive outlook on life will inspire you to also find new ways to positively impact your community and make a difference to benefit the Earth.

Why did you decide to participate in CNI's Learn / Hustle / Grow summer program?

I want to make a difference in people's lives and the world. That is my number one goal in life, and I believe that is possible through this program. Additionally, I love that I can work on this to benefit communities that are important to me, such as my college campus.

What might we accomplish together this summer?

I imagine that we can do anything that we set our mind to. This might seem very cheesy, but it is true. Our goals need to be big, but not impossible. Specifically, I want to work on making housing, both dormitories and greek life, carbon neutral. I imagine that this is possible. Although it might not be able to happen in the next year, I imagine that it is definitely possible by 2030. I think that if we all work together, we can accomplish all of the goals we have. We need to be creative, relentless, and ambitious. That is the only way this is possible. I believe that we can also make large parts of our communities, businesses, and parts of college campuses carbon neutral. It just takes a team and a dream.
