Nearly 3,000 students signed petitions calling Indiana University and Purdue University to become carbon neutral. We selected only twelve. Learn about one of those students below. Learn about the others too.
Reflection After First Week
"Thrive, not survive"
How would you like to be introduced on stage?
Continuously striving for improvement is something we should all aspire to do, and I'd like to introduce someone who keeps this goal in mind. As someone who believes local change is what's responsible for the betterment of all, Katie Lo has been involved in Amnesty International, the local Deaf community, the foster community, and has an interest in animal welfare. Resulting from these interests, Katie's a student at Indiana University studying Molecular Biology alongside Animal Behavior.
Why did you decide to participate in CNI's Learn / Hustle / Grow summer program?
I joined CNI’s Learn / Hustle / Grow summer program in order to take action against the current climate crisis and to create change within Indiana.
What might we accomplish together this summer?
A community comprised of people motivated by the climate crisis who spread their influence past the group itself.
